TRANSPLAN

OC Transpo's annual public consultation is under way

Ottawa Residents of Ottawa can have a say in the proposed transit service changes in their community by attending Transplan open house sessions.

TransPLAN 2001 is the third year of a five-year improvement plan. The proposals are based on OC Transpo's 1998 Comprehensive Review, as well as customers' evolving needs. This year's proposals are scheduled to be implemented in September 2001 and focus mainly on the growth areas in the suburbs of Kanata, Orleans, South Nepean and the high tech west end. The goals of the 2001 proposed changes include extending transit service to new residential and employment areas, responding to the rapid growth in the region.

OC Transpo is looking for feedback on the proposals. OC Transpo staff will be on hand to discuss the proposals at the following open houses.
