OC Transpo offers commuting tips during Eastern Ontario farmers’ protest

( March 14, 2001) OC Transpo offers tips for customers experiencing delays during the farm tractor protest which is affecting traffic along most major arteries in Ottawa.

Tips include:

  • Call "560" plus your bus stop number to check for changes to scheduled bus departure information.
  • Keep moving toward your destination. Take the first bus that comes along, others may be delayed.
  • If possible, try to use routes that travel on the Transitway rather than affected roadways.
OC Transpo is taking steps to minimize travel delays. Buses may be detoured around problem areas in order to keep service moving. Your patience and understanding is appreciated where delays are unavoidable. Using the tips listed above will help get you to your destination.
