Transit Service Offers Fourteen Fully Accessible Routes Ottawa - As part of its service network, OC Transpo offers fourteen fully accessible routes that provide many features to make riding transit easier for everyone, and provide options for many persons with disabilities or mobility difficulties. Many customers with disabilities who are able to get to a bus stop can ride the accessible routes. They serve major employment and shopping centres, accessible housing complexes, seniors' residences, medical buildings and hospitals. Customers who need help to travel, can obtain an attendant card which allows them to bring along an attendant who rides free. The attendant card is not required for persons who use wheelchairs or scooters. Low-floor accessible buses have no stairs, they kneel to lower the floor of the bus, and they are equipped with a ramp. Each vehicle features two wheelchair positions, bright easy to read destination signs, easy-to-reach stop request buttons, brightly colored grab rails and pull cords. Fully Accessible Route Network
