Civic Holiday Service

Ottawa - On the Civic Holiday, Monday August 6, OC Transpo will operate a Sunday schedule, with extra service added to routes 8 and 95.  Only those routes that usually operate on Sunday will be in service.

Customers who are travelling to downtown and to Hull should ride their local route to the nearest terminal or Transitway station and transfer to any black one or two-digit route, most of which will run every 30 minutes. Once downtown, they can connect to the route 8 HULL which will be on a 5 to 10 minute frequency during the peaks and every 30 minutes in the off-peak. There will be no peak period supplementary service.

The Telephone Information Centre will be open August 6 from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. to help with trip planning and schedule information.  Customers can also call 560-1000 plus their 4-digit bus stop number for both current and future departure times from their stop. OC Transpo Sales and Information Centres will be closed August 6, except for the Rideau Centre office which will be open from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.

OC Transpo’s DayPass becomes a family pass on Sundays and statutory holidays.  This makes family outings affordable and easy. A family (up to six people, with a maximum of two age 12 or older) can travel all day with one DayPass which sells for $5 at any of 300 vendors or on the bus.  What a bargain!

Service information is available at 741-4390 and on our web site www.octranspo.com.
