New O-Train on display at Canada Science and Technology Museum

Saturday, Sunday, Monday, September 1 to 3, 2001 – 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

During the weekend, the public can get on board the O-Train free of charge and take a first-hand look at the future of commuting in Ottawa. The O-Train will be on display from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. this Saturday, Sunday and Monday, September 1-3. Other activities this weekend at the Canada Science and Technology Museum include guided tours of the museum’s Locomotive Hall, Shay Locomotive Rides, and a tour of an 1850’s all-wood passenger coach.

The Museum is located at 1867 St-Laurent Boulevard at Lancaster Road. Admission is $6 for adults, $5 for students/seniors and $12 for families (2 adults and 2 children); free for children 5 and under. Free parking is available on the Museum grounds. When planning your visit to the O-Train, consider using transit to get to the Canada Science and Technology Museum — it's easy! Transit riders can take their regular Transitway route to St. Laurent station. Routes 85, 111 and 144 run from St. Laurent transit station directly to the Museum on St. Laurent Blvd. Route 85 runs on a 20 minute frequency on Sundays, while routes 111 and 144 depart every 30 min. - 1 hour.
