Public gets preview of O-Train at Carleton University |

Ottawa - Ottawa’s new O-Train is on public display at Carleton University this Sunday from noon until 4:00 pm.The sleek new red and white Bombardier Talent train will soon be transporting passengers from Greenboro in the south to Bayview in the north. Carleton University, is the midway point along the line, where a passing track allows the trains to pass one another. On Sunday, visitors will be able to get on board the O-Train free of charge and take a first-hand look at the future of commuting in Ottawa. OC Transpo staff will be on hand to answer any questions potential users may have. Routes 4 and 7 will get you to Carleton University on Sunday. From downtown, transit riders can take either route 4 or 7 on Rideau Street, Wellington Street or on Bank Street. From the east, transit riders can travel on route 95 via the Transitway to Hurdman station, then transfer to route 4 Ottawa-Rockcliffe. From the south, transit riders can travel the Transitway with route 97 to Billings Bridge or with their local route to Billings Bridge, then transfer to route 4 Ottawa-Rockcliffe. From the East, West or South, travel the Transitway to the intersection of either Bank and Albert or Bank and Slater, transfer on Bank St. to route 7 Carleton.
