Ottawa- Due to expanding G8 protests which have affected portions of the Transitway through the downtown core, OC Transpo buses are being detoured around problem areas. All buses traveling through the downtown core will use alternate routes bypassing areas which have been closed, and returning to the Transitway at the most convenient point. These detours should last until 3:00 pm this afternoon.

The safety of passengers and employees is OC Transpo’s first priority. Normal service will be maintained where security is not at risk. Passengers are asked to be patient and tolerant during these service disruptions.
