OC Transpo offers late-night service on Fridays |
|
Ottawa – Transit riders can
now stay later in the Byward Market. OC Transpo is expanding its
late-night transit service on Rideau St. to include Fridays.
OC Transpo customers have enjoyed late-night service on Saturday nights
since September 2000. Starting tonight, this popular feature is expanded
to include Friday nights as well. This means employees and patrons of
establishments in the Market will be able to catch the last trip home from
Rideau St. between 2:20 a.m. and 2:55 a.m., depending on the route.
Transitway routes 95 and 97 serve the Rideau Centre stop after 1:00 a.m.
The eastbound stop is located on Rideau St. just east of Shopper’s Drug
Mart, while the westbound stop is in front of McDonald’s.
Transitway route 95 travels between Place d’Orléans and Woodroffe at
Fallowfield, while Route 97 provides service between South Keys Station at
Hunt Club and Kanata. Both routes travel through the downtown core. For
each route, the last trip from the Rideau St. stop begins at:
