Ottawa –
Bicycle
lockers have been installed at three Park
& Ride stations in the
City of Ottawa and are now available for rental. This new pilot project
gives Ottawa-area cyclists more options for their daily commute. They can
now ride to their closest station, lock up their bike in a secure,
tamperproof locker, then take an OC Transpo bus to their destination.
A total of 20 lockers are now available, with eight at Fallowfield
station and six at both the Orléans and Greenboro stations. The lockers
are built of heavy duty polyethylene plastic and are durable, strong and
waterproof.
Cyclists can rent a locker – available on a first-come, first-serve
basis – for 3, 6, 9, or 12 months at a time at a cost of $25 per 3-month
period. Commuters can arrange for rental at the City of Ottawa Client
Service Centre nearest their transit station, as indicated below.
