Fall and Labour Day transit service

Ottawa – On Sunday, September 5, fall service changes go into effect on most OC Transpo routes, including the O-Train. The changes are a result of budget decisions, as well as the City’s public consultation process on transit changes – TransPLAN 2004, both of which were held earlier this year. Residents are encouraged to consult the New Fall Service 2004 brochure available from OC Transpo, check their local newspapers, or visit octranspo.com to find out if their route has been affected. New maps and timetables are also available for all routes.

Highlights to this fall’s service include a new Transitway Route 96 to Kanata, more frequent
O-Train service, more accessible routes, a new Transit Station opening soon at Terry Fox, improved local service in Kanata, and fewer buses on Slater Street to help keep buses on schedule. A new “do-it-yourself” travel-planner is also available online at octranspo.com

This Labour Day (Monday, September 6), buses will operate on a Sunday service schedule. This means only those routes normally in service on a Sunday will be available to transit users.

Detailed information, maps, and schedules for all routes, are available at octranspo.com.
OC Transpo Sales and Information Centres will be operating at reduced hours on Labour Day. The telephone information centre at 741‑4390 will operate from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. For bus arrival times, customers can call 560-1000 plus the four-digit number on their bus stop.
