Ottawa
– On Sunday, June 26, reduced summer schedules go into effect
to reflect the lower demand for service during the summer vacation period.
Two new routes, 141 and 164, will be introduced to supplement local
service in the communities of Alta Vista and Kanata. There will also be
new trips added to many routes that will improve early morning, evening
and weekend service as a result of an increase in the 2005 transit budget.
New route 141 is a fully-accessible
route operating between Billings Bridge and Herongate, via Bank, Heron,
Featherston and Walkley, Monday to Saturday. New route 164 also uses
fully-accessible buses and serves Kanata, operating between Bridlewood and
Terry Fox Station via Eagleson and Campeau, Monday to Saturday.
Schedule information is available 24
hours a day, up to six days in advance, by calling 560-1000 plus the
4-digit bus stop number.
