– Transit
customers have two new fare payment choices with the introduction of the
new Adult Annual pass and Student Semester pass now available for 2006.
Both passes offer customers the convenience of a longer-term pass and a
10% discount over the cost of buying monthly passes.
The price of the passes is
as follows:
The Student Semester pass
is part of a pilot project that will run until mid-2007, and is available
to residents of Ontario who are full-time students at a post-secondary
school.
The Adult Annual pass is
valid from January 1 to December 31, 2006, while the Student Semester pass
is valid from January 1 to April 30, 2006. These passes are only available
at OC Transpo Sales and Information Centres, while the Semester pass can
also be purchased at Carleton University, Algonquin College and La Cité
collégiale. An OC Transpo photo ID card is required.
Customers who are concerned
about loss or theft of their pass can opt for the Pass Protection Plan at
the time of their purchase which provides for one free replacement.
OC
Transpo Sales and Information Centres will accept payment for these passes
with debit or credit card (Visa, Mastercard and American Express).
