Ottawa
– Residents and tourists can relax and see the tulips aboard
the Tulip Shuttle on the first three weekends of May. Children 12 and
under ride free and adults can ride free with their “Tulip Experience
Passport” or pay just $2.50 to ride the shuttle all day.
OC Transpo’s shuttle will operate
in a one-way loop from downtown Ottawa at Major’s Hill Park, via
Wellington, the Canadian War Museum and Preston Street to Dow’s Lake,
then along the scenic canal back to downtown. Transfers to the STO shuttle
can be made at Major’s Hill Park. The shuttle will operate on the
following schedule:

Cash fare only is accepted on the Tulip
Shuttle. Passes, transfers, bus tickets, O-Train tickets and Smart
Cards will not be valid on the Tulip Shuttle. The Tulip Shuttle Ticket,
available for $2.50 on the shuttle, and the Tulip Experience Passport are
not accepted on regular OC Transpo service.
Free parking and hundreds of spaces
will be available at six OC Transpo Park
& Ride lots with frequent Transitway service to downtown where
transfers can be made to the shuttle. Festival-goers can also park at
Greenboro station and ride in comfort aboard the O-Train to Carling
station and take a short walk to the tulips, as well as the Tulip Shuttle,
at Dow’s Lake.
