OC Transpo

Take transit to the FIFA U-20 World Cup soccer matches
and avoid traffic headaches

Ottawa – Soccer fans are encouraged to take OC Transpo to FIFA U-20 World Cup Canada matches at Frank Clair Stadium, as there will be no on-site public parking at Lansdowne Park.

Frank Clair Stadium is well served by bus routes 1 and 7, both of which connect to the Transitway and downtown stops.  Coming from south of the stadium, route 1 connects to Billings Bridge and route 7 to Carleton University. Free parking is available at Carleton University on weekends and anytime at several Park & Ride lots that have frequent Transitway service to downtown.

Fans should be sure to arrive early.  The stadium will be open two hours before kick-off.  There will be interactive sponsor displays to entertain fans before the matches.

Frank Clair Stadium at Lansdowne Park will host five match dates during the tournament:

  • Saturday, June 30, a doubleheader starting at 4:30 pm, Korea DPR vs. Panama, followed at 7:15 pm by Argentina vs. Czech Republic.

  • Tuesday, July 3, a doubleheader starting at 5:00 pm, Czech Republic vs. Korea DPR, followed at 7:45 pm by Panama vs. Argentina.

  • Friday, July 6, a doubleheader starting at 5:00 pm, Argentina vs. Korea DPR, followed at 7:45 pm by Brazil vs. USA.

  • Thursday, July 12, 4:45 pm, a second round knockout match.

  • Sunday, July 15, 7:45 pm, a quarter-final match.

Doubleheader tickets include admission to both matches.

The regular bus fare is $1.90 if you pay with bus tickets, or $3 cash, and the O-Train fare is $2.25. Children ages 6-11 pay $1.50 or one 95 cents bus ticket and ride free on the O-Train.

While there is no public parking at Lansdowne Park, and there will be temporary restrictions on Bank Street, parking will be available on side streets in the surrounding neighbourhood.

Taxis and limousines should enter the park via gate four, from the Queen Elizabeth Driveway.  Other passenger drop offs should be done on Holmwood Avenue.
