Preston Street is known as Corso Italia – the heart of Ottawa’s Little Italy. The area is famous for its Italian heritage and events and has served as the first home for Ottawa’s Italian population.

In the spring, summer and fall, Preston Street comes alive with outdoor music, performances and many more entertaining attractions. Lovers of authentic Italian baked goods and other foods will have too many options to sift through when taking a stroll down this historic street. Caffe La Grotta, Delightful Taste, Simply Biscotti and the Little Italy Bakery are all located within blocks of one another on Preston Street, as are several other establishments. For Italian cuisine, Leonardo’s, Danni Panini, Giovanni’s and a variety of other restaurants can also be found on Preston Street. The majority of the businesses are family operated with “an owner in the store” approach to customer service.
