Adult Passes

Effective July 1, 2008
Save money by using a discounted monthly 
or annual pass for greater savings and convenience. Remember to save your expired passes as you are able to claim the cost of your transit pass on your Income Tax Return. 

The appropriate type of Photo ID card must match the type of bus pass. Customers requesting a photo ID must provide a photo identification or acceptable signed identification.

Three Adult Monthly Passes are available:

Adult Regular Pass: 

• Valid as full fare on regular buses (red and black routes) and the O-Train.

• Can also be used on express routes (green routes) with a top-up of $1.00 or 1 ticket.

• Can also be used on rural express routes (green routes) with a top-up of $2.00 or 2 tickets.

Adult Express* Pass:  

• Valid as full fare on regular buses (red and black routes), express routes (green) and the O-Train.

• Can also be used on rural express routes (green routes) with a top-up of $1.00 or 1 ticket.

Adult Rural Express* Pass:  

• Valid as full fare on all routes and the O-Train.

* The Rural Express fare is charged for customers boarding or exiting outside the Urban Transit Area (UTA) on green routes, while an Express fare is charged inside the UTA ... more info
  

Two Adult Annual Passes are available:

* Cost when purchased for the beginning of the current year. If the annual pass is purchased later in the year, the cost is pro-rated. 

• Annual passes are valid for 12 months from January to December of the current year.

• The Adult Annual Pass is sold only until June 30th of the current year. 

• Adult Annual passes can only be purchased at an OC Transpo Sales and Information Centre.

POP Means Proof of Payment

With a transit pass, you can board articulated buses by the rear doors. But if you pay with cash, tickets, O-Train ticket, a DayPass or a transfer, always board at the front and request a transfer as your proof of payment. Be prepared to show your transfer or pass on request.
