POP Zone on
O-Train Platforms

The O-Train operates on a proof of payment system. Be prepared to show your pass, transfer, or O-Train ticket on request.

O-Train station platforms are now Proof of Payment (POP) Zones. This means that if you are on the platform, you must have proof of payment such as a transit pass, transfer or O-Train ticket. (Bus tickets are not accepted as fare on the O-Train.)

Regular, random fare checks will be made on the O-Train and the O-Train platforms, so be prepared to show your paid fare.

Anyone unable to provide proof of payment upon request may be fined $150. Children age 11 and under are exempt.

Transit Passes

A bus pass is the most economical choice when traveling on a regular basis and is accepted as full fare on the O-Train.

DayPass

The DayPass provides visitors and residents with unlimited travel in a day.  On Sundays and Statutory holidays,  one DayPass will entitle your family (up to 2 adults and 4 children, age 11 and under) to unlimited same-day travel.  On the O-Train, you need a printed Daypass; you can't use the red voucher only.

Bus Transfers

Bus transfers can be used as full fare on the O-Train for any direction of travel, including return trips and stopovers, providing the time has not expired. Transfers are valid for about 90 minutes, check the expiration on your transfer.

Children age 6-11 who transfer to a bus, must pay a child's fare on the bus.

Bus Tickets

Not accepted as valid fare on the O-Train.
