Student Passes

If you're a full-time student you can save money by using a discounted student pass.

Choose from a monthly, semester (post-secondary students only) or an annual pass for greater savings and convenience. Remember to save your expired student passes as you are able to claim the cost of your transit pass on your Income Tax Return.

Three Student Monthly Passes are available:

The Regular Student pass is accepted as full fare on regular black and on red peak routes and the O-Train. 

The Regular Student pass can be used on express routes with a top up of $1.00 or 1 bus ticket.

The Regular Student pass can be used on rural express routes with a top up of $2.00 or 2 bus tickets.

The Express Student pass is accepted as full fare on all regular and express routes and the O-Train. 

The Express Student pass can be used on rural express routes with a top up of $1.00 or 1 bus ticket. 

The Rural Express Student pass is accepted as full fare on all routes. 

Two Student Semester Passes* are available which include the cost of the Pass Protection Plan:

The summer Student Semester pass is available to purchase from mid April for approx. one month and is valid for the four-month period from May - Aug. 2008.

The Pass Protection Plan protects your Semester pass from loss or theft and the cost is included in the price of the Student Semester pass.

When purchasing an Annual Student Pass*, the student must be present at the time of purchase to have their OC Transpo photo ID taken.  

Two Student Annual Passes are available:

* Cost when purchased at the beginning (September) of the 2007-2008 school year. If the annual pass is purchased later in the school year, the cost is pro-rated.

The annual pass is valid from September 1, 2007 until August 31, 2008. Student Annual Passes are available from mid-August until May 31 and can only be purchased at OC Transpo Sales and Information Centres.
