Process of Special Constables


 What authority does a Transit Special Constable have?

  Transit Special Constable CrestOC Transpo Transit Special Constables are sworn by the Ottawa
Police Service and have the same powers as a Police Officer to enforce
the Criminal Code of Canada, the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, the Trespass to Property Act, Safe Streets Act, and the Liquor License Act, on or in relation to OC Transpo properties and vehicles. Persons in violation of Transit Public By-law may be fined.
