Courtesy and Respect

Courtesy and Respect
... it’s a two-way street

Our commitment to employees and customers is a safe and harassment-free environment.

Aggressive behaviour and coarse language will not be tolerated.

These are two important messages. They affect you and the quality of service we provide to all our customers.

All employees and customers of OC Transpo have the right to feel safe and be treated with courtesy and respect. To ensure these rights, we have Federal, Provincial and Municipal laws that prohibit smoking, littering, soliciting, possessing alcohol, causing a disturbance, threatening behaviour, and assault.

Transit Special Constables monitor and enforce these laws. They are also available to assist you and protect taxpayers’ property. If you need assistance: tell your bus operator or any OC Transpo employee, use the yellow emergency call boxes located throughout Transitway Stations, press the free “security” button on all payphones in stations or call our emergency number at
613-741-2478.
