Route 107 Expansion

It is proposed that route 107 be expanded to operate in both directions during peak periods, approximately every 30 minutes. This would provide residents in Citiplace and Moffat Farm with a new direct peak period connection to Transitway and O-Train service, as well as a connection to downtown.

Route 107 would operate in both directions along Colonnade instead of a one-way loop, as would route 3, in order to improve travel and choices for Citiplace residents.

Route 107 would also operate in both directions on Baseline, instead of via Canada Post roadway and Hog’s Back in the westbound direction. This change would allow the route to take advantage of new transit priority measures on Heron Road that would help speed up service.

It is proposed that a new peak period route be introduced in the Brookside community as shown on the map. Residents would have a shorter walking distance to transit and a connection to a variety of local, express and Transitway services.

Route 162 would provide half hour service in the peak periods — travelling southbound in the morning and northbound in the afternoon. Route 162 would require a regular fare.
