Riders Tips

• get to the stop several minutes early to avoid disappointment
• check that you have the correct fare: pass, tickets or exact change
• when you see your bus, step up to the curb near the bus stop flag
• deposit your cash or tickets in the fare box or show your pass clearly to the bus operator
• if you need to take more than one bus, ask for a transfer when you board

• please don’t take up more than one seat – stow your backpack on the floor or in your lap
• priority seating (usually at the front) is reserved for riders who have difficulty standing in a moving bus
• if you’re standing, please move to the back to make room for others, but leave the back door clear
• use headphones with your walkman or discman
• for safety reasons, shoes must be worn, and skates, skis and rollerblades must be carried
• smoking is not allowed on buses or in Transitway Stations or shelters
• please do not leave litter on the bus or at the bus stop
• exit by the rear side doors
