1. This contest rewards City of Ottawa residents during the Transitway 25th Anniversary Celebration, October 2008. To participate in the contest, no purchase is necessary. 2. To be eligible to win any of the contest prizes, contestants must submit a story of 500 words or less about a special moment from the past 25 years of the Transitway. Entry must include the name, address and daytime phone number of the contest participant, and must be submitted as noted in #3 and by the deadline noted in #6. 3. Entries can be submitted by filling out the entry form or by mailing your entry to: Transitway Memories Contest You may also deliver your entry in person to an OC Transpo Sales and Information Centre (during their hours of operation ) located at: the Rideau Centre, St. Laurent Transitway Station, Lincoln Fields Transitway Station and Place d’Orléans Transitway Station. 4. Only one entry per customer is eligible, and only one prize per customer will be awarded. 5. There will be five prizes awarded consisting of one Annual Transit Pass for the year 2009, and four Monthly Transit Passes. All prizes awarded by the City of Ottawa. 6. The Transitway 25th Anniversary Contest will effectively end Friday, October 24, 2008 at 4:00 p.m. Only entries received by this deadline will be eligible. 7. The City of Ottawa will select the top five entries and top prize winner. The winners will be announced on October 31, 2008 by 12 noon. 8. The winners’ names will be published on OC Transpo’s web site at www.octranspo.com by October 31, 2008, and all winners will be contacted by November 30, 2008. 9. Prizes must be accepted as awarded. No substitution or transfer of prizes is allowed. Prizes are not redeemable for cash or credit, in whole or in part. OC Transpo and the City of Ottawa will not be responsible for any loss, theft or misuse of the prizes. 10. By accepting a prize, the winners agree to comply with the rules and regulations and waive any liability of OC Transpo and the City of Ottawa arising out of the administration and conduct of the contest, and the acceptance and use of the prizes as awarded. 11. All entries become the property of the City of Ottawa. By entering the contest, entrants agree to be bound by these official Rules and Regulations and consent to the publication, translation and editing of their story, and use of their name, place of residence, photographs and images in any publicity carried out by the City of Ottawa, without compensation. 12. The contest is open to all residents of Ontario, 19 years of age and over. Chances of winning are dependent on the total number of entries entered into the contest. The contest is not open to employees of the City of Ottawa. 13. Before accepting the prize, the contestant must correctly answer a skill testing question as follows : 156 + 143 - 2 = ? . 14. All results are final as determined by the City of Ottawa. 15. This contest is subject to
all applicable federal, provincial and local laws and regulations. The
City of Ottawa reserves the right to discontinue this contest at any
time.
