Mackenzie King Bridge to be closed to on-road traffic,  except transit vehicles
Effective October 11

Residents are advised that the Mackenzie King Bridge will be closed to on-road traffic, with the exception of transit vehicles, for required roadway repairs and bridge maintenance beginning October 11. This work will continue for about 4 weeks, and the bridge will remain closed to non-transit vehicles until mid to late November.

Detours for non-transit vehicles, including cyclists, will be in place and signed between Nicholas Street and Elgin Street.

OC Transpo will continue to use the bridge and buses will service the Mackenzie King station of the Transitway.

Pedestrians will continue to be able to use sidewalks on the north and south sides of the bridge. Cyclists may also use the sidewalks but are required to dismount and walk, or use an alternate route.
