East Central & Vanier These routes travel East of Bank St. and West of St. Laurent station.

Cross-town East of Bank & Vanier Local Peak-Only Express Peak-Only
There are five main cross-town routes in the East Central and Vanier area. Local buses connect at the Rideau Centre on Rideau St.   Several routes run during rush-hours only, to and from downtown.  Rush-hour service to and from downtown is available on these premium-fare routes:
 

Route 2 travels to Blair station via the length of Rideau St. and Montreal Rd. eastbound from the Rideau Centre.  Westbound from Rideau St., route 2 continues to Bayshore station via  Wellington and  Richmond Rd. 

Route 14 travels eastbound from the Rideau Centre to St. Laurent Station via McArthur and St.Laurent. Westbound via Gladstone to Carlington Park.

Route 16 travels eastbound from the Rideau Centre to the hospitals on Smyth Rd. via Sandy Hill and Ottawa U. Westbound from Rideau St. route 16 travels to the Carlingwood Shopping Centre and Lincoln Fields station via the Westboro area.

Route
18 travels eastbound from the Rideau Centre to the  St. Laurent station via the Overbrook area. Westbound from Rideau St. route 18 travels to Britannia Park via Scott St. and Carlingwood Shopping Centre.

Route 95 is the main Transitway route providing high-frequency service from the Orleans Transit Station  to the Fallowfield Station via Downtown on Mackenzie King Bridge. 

Route 96 travels from Hurdman station and Downtown to Kanata and Stittsville via the Transitway, Hwy 417 and Bayshore.

Route 97
travels from Bayshore and Downtown via the Transitway to the Airport.

Routes 101/102 travel from Orleans via the Transitway to the Central Bus station on Catherine St.; then  to Bayshore via Carling Ave. and the Queensway. Some peak period trips are extended to Tunney's Pasture and are signed route 102. 





Route 3 travels from the Rideau Centre to Hurdman station via the Vanier Parkway.  Westbound from the Rideau Centre it travels to the Merivale Industrial Park via Preston and Prince of Wales.

Route 4 travels from the Rideau Centre to Hurdman Station via Bank St., Bronson Ave., Carleton U. and the Transitway.

Route 5 travels eastbound from Rideau St. through Vanier including City Hall to St. Laurent station.  Westbound from the Rideau Centre route 5 travels on Elgin and Main to the Heron Park area.

Route 7 travels in the Rockcliffe Park area to St. Laurent station via St. Laurent Blvd.  Westbound, route 7 travels on Rideau St. and Bank St. downtown as far as Carleton U.

Route 14 travels the length of McArthur in the Vanier area to St. Laurent station headed eastbound from the Rideau Centre.  Westbound, route 14 travels on Rideau St. to the Carlington area via Gladstone and Parkdale.

Route 306 (Mon. to Fri.) travels to Island Lodge from the Rideau Centre via Lowertown.  Westbound from the Rideau Centre, route 306 travels to the Elisabeth Bruyère Centre via the market area.

Route 316 (Mon. to Sat.) travels through Sandy Hill eastbound from the Rideau Centre. Westbound from the Rideau Centre, it travels to Lebreton station via Somerset and the Good Companions.





Route 6 (Mon - Fri) travels westbound only from the Rideau Centre towards Tunney's Pasture via Elgin and the Glebe.

Route 15 travels in the p.m. rush hour from Cité collegiale to the Rideau Centre then to Lincoln Fields station via the Transitway, Churchill Ave., Dovercourt Ave. and the Carlingwood Shopping Centre.  It does the reverse in the a.m. rush hour. 

Route 29 travels from the Rideau Centre (Mackenzie King Bridge) to the Rockliffe area via the Transitway to St. Laurent station and then the Carson Grove area in the p.m. rush hour.  It does the reverse in the a.m. rush hour.

Route 51 travels to the Iris Transitway station from the Rideau Centre (Mackenzie King Bridge) via the Queensway, Maitland and Iris St in the p.m. rush hour.  It does the reverse in the a.m. rush hour. 

Route 190 travels from Hurdman station to CMHC via City Park Dr. the CSIS and NRC in the a.m. rush hour.  In the p.m. rush hour, it does the reverse.





All express routes from the East travel downtown via the Transitway. They will travel on Mackenzie King Bridge and Albert St. as far as Lebreton station. Some trips are extended to Lincoln Fields station.

All express routes from the West travel downtown via the Transitway. They travel on Slater St. then Mackenzie King Bridge as far as Hurdman station.  Some trips are extended to Blair station.
