The new accessibility plan will come into effect on June 1, 2026.
Thank you for your participation in the City's public consultations this past January! With your feedback, we have a new and improved plan to make Ottawa public transit more accessible.
Under the Accessible Canada Act, OC Transpo is required to publish an accessibility plan every three years and provide annual progress updates.
Our 2026-2029 OC Transpo Accessibility Plan outlines the steps we're taking to identify, reduce, and remove barriers.
We are also committed to continuously improving and expanding upon the new plan as:
- We receive more feedback.
- Innovative practices emerge.
- New standards are developed.
