Fare change takes effect October 1
On Tuesday, October 1, 2019, the OC Transpo fare freeze will end and 2019 fares will come into effect as approved by Council. All fares, except the EquiPass, Community Pass and Access Pass, will increase an average of 2.5 per cent to keep pace with inflation and the cost of providing transportation. The EquiPass, Community Pass and Access Pass rates will not increase and will remain at the current fare.

Para Transpo Taxi coupon program improvements
Starting October 1, the price of each taxi coupon book will be reduced to $18 per book, down from $24. This is in addition to the change made on May 1, 2019 that allowed Para Transpo customers to purchase up to eight coupon books per month, up from the former limit of four. These enhancements are being made as part of the Council-approved Vehicle-for-Hire Accessibility Fund Report.
Reminder: Seniors ride at no charge on Sundays now too!
As of July 1, 2019, Seniors (aged 65 and over) ride at no charge on Wednesdays and Sundays. On those days of the week, Seniors do not need to tap their Presto card on the bus and can simply let the bus operator know as they board. At the fare gate, Seniors can tap their Presto card set with a Senior discount and no fare will be charged.
