July 7 to August 12 - Champlain Street at Highway 174 - Ramp Closure

Please note that this ramp will be open during the weekend of July 12-15 to alleviate concerns about the Jeanne d'Arc interchange weekend full closure.

As part of the Stage 2 O-Train Light Rail Transit (LRT) project, motorists travelling on Champlain Street should anticipate impacts to traffic as crews complete necessary construction activities.

What:     
Full closure of the northbound Champlain Street on-ramp to Highway 174 westbound.

When:    
Sunday, July 7 at 9:00 p.m. to Monday, August 12 at 6:00 a.m.

Why:     
Removal and rebuilding of median, electrical work, and paving

Where:   
Champlain Street on-ramp at Highway 174 westbound.

The construction work outlined in this notice is subject to change. Work may be delayed or extended due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

Detour
Motorists travelling northbound on Champlain Street can access Highway 174 westbound using the on-ramp at Jeanne d’Arc Boulevard by taking Jeanne d’Arc Boulevard westbound, or St. Joseph Boulevard westbound.

Motorists should adhere to detours, traffic control signage, posted speed limits, allow for added travel time and use extra caution when moving through active construction corridors as traffic patterns change.

Pedestrians and cyclists should use extra caution and adhere to posted signage when localized detours are in-place, to ensure safety.
