As part of the Stage 2 O-Train Light Rail Transit (LRT) project, westbound Richmond Road between New Orchard Avenue and Ancaster Avenue will be fully closed to motor vehicle traffic. A detour will be in effect and local access will be maintained. All residents in the area will continue to have driveway access during this work.

What:      Full closure of westbound Richmond Road between New Orchard Avenue and Ancaster Avenue.

When:     Saturday, April 5 from 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM

Why:       Relocation of temporary concrete barriers (TCBs) to provide the required work zone.

Where:    Richmond Road between New Orchard Avenue and Ancaster Avenue.

Detour

Motorists wishing to travel westbound on Richmond Road will proceed south on Woodroffe Avenue to Carling Avenue. They will turn right onto Carling Avenue and continue westbound until reconnecting with Richmond Road.

Anticipated Impacts

Motorists should adhere to detours, traffic control signage, posted speed limits, allow for added travel time and use extra caution when moving through active construction corridors as traffic patterns change.

Pedestrians and cyclists should use extra caution and adhere to posted signage when localized detours are in-place, to ensure safety.

The safety of the public and workers is paramount, and we thank you for your patience during construction.
