Note: PRESTO and O‑Payment are now available on Para Transpo and may be a more convenient option for most customers.

ParaPay is a card‑free system that lets you pre‑pay your Para Transpo fares. You can open an account, load money or a monthly pass, then book your trips and ride. You don't need to carry cash or tickets.

You can't use ParaPay for trips on OC Transpo buses or the O‑Train.

How to get ParaPay

Step 1: Open your account

To open your account, call Customer Service and give your Para Transpo ID number.

Step 2: Set up online access (optional)

Online account access

If you want to be able to load your account online, you also need to:

  • Provide your email address
  • You will then receive an email with instructions on how to activate your account and load money or a pass

Step 3: Load your account and ride

Load a monthly pass (ParaPass) or money to pay‑per‑trip (ParaPurse) online, in person, by phone, or by mail.

  • Book your trips and ride! Your fare is automatically paid when you book. If you cancel, your account will be reimbursed.

Loading your ParaPay account

You can load ParaPay with ParaPurse, a ParaPass, or both.

There are four ways to load your account:

Pay‑per‑trip with ParaPurse

ParaPurse allows you to deposit money and pay for trips as you go. A minimum load of $10.00 is required. You can use your ParaPurse funds to:

  • Pay‑per‑trip
  • Apply toward a ParaPass
Ride all month with ParaPass

ParaPass is a paperless monthly pass that provides unlimited travel on Para Transpo.
