Overview

We’re launching a six‑month pilot project to test new plastic seats on one of our buses.

Why we’re testing this

We’re exploring an alternative option for seats on buses to see how well they work for customers and operations. This includes looking at:

  • Cleaning: In other cities, plastic seats have proven to be easier to clean.
  • Maintenance: Hard‑surface seating is constructed to offer long‑term durability and resistance to vandalism.
  • Comfort: These seats feature an ergonomic design and look and feel different than our fabric seats.

This pilot will help us assess their performance and gather feedback on customer experience.
