As part of the Stage 2 O-Train Light Rail Transit (LRT) project, motorists travelling on Highway 174 westbound at Jeanne d’Arc Boulevard and on Jeanne d’Arc Boulevard northbound should anticipate impacts to traffic as crews complete necessary construction activities. 

What:    
Lane reduction on Highway 174 westbound at Jeanne d’Arc Boulevard, full closure of Highway 174 westbound on-ramp from northbound Jeanne d’Arc Boulevard and an off-peak full closure of westbound Highway 174 at Jeanne d'Arc Boulevard. 

When:    
Wednesday, January 7 at 10:00 a.m. until Thursday, January 8 at 6:00 a.m.:

  • A lane reduction on Highway 174 westbound at Jeanne d'Arc Boulevard
  • A full closure of the Highway 174 westbound on-ramp from northbound Jeanne d'Arc Boulevard

Thursday, January 8 from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.:

  • A full closure of westbound Highway 174 at Jeanne d'Arc Boulevard, with a ramp surf
  • A full closure of the Highway 174 westbound on-ramp from northbound Jeanne d'Arc Boulevard

Detours

  • Motorists in the Jeanne d’Arc Boulevard area south of Highway 174 can access westbound Highway 174 by using the Highway 174 westbound on-ramp at the Montreal Road interchange.
  •  
  • Motorists travelling westbound on Highway 174 between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 8 will perform a simple ramp surf at Jeanne d’Arc Boulevard. They will exit the Highway using the westbound off-ramp, cross Jeanne d’Arc Boulevard and rejoin westbound Highway 174 using the westbound on-ramp.

Anticipated Impacts
Motorists should adhere to detours, traffic control signage, posted speed limits, allow for added travel time and use extra caution when moving through active construction corridors as traffic patterns change.
Pedestrians and cyclists should use extra caution and adhere to posted signage when localized detours are in-place to ensure safety.
