Highway 417 Eastbound Ramps at Pinecrest, Richmond - Overnight Closures - Sept. 18, 19

As part of the Stage 2 O-Train Light Rail Transit (LRT) project, motorists travelling on or wishing to access eastbound Highway 417 between Richmond Road and Greenbank Road should anticipate impacts to traffic as crews complete necessary construction activities. Detours will be in effect.

What:     
Overnight closure of the Highway 417 eastbound on-ramps at Greenbank Road as well as the Highway 417 eastbound on-ramp at Richmond Road and the eastbound off-ramp to Greenbank Road.

When:    
Highway 417 eastbound on-ramps from Greenbank Road: Thursday, September 18 at 11 p.m. until 5 a.m. on Friday, September 19.
Highway 417 eastbound on-ramp from Richmond Road and eastbound off-ramp to Greenbank Road: Friday, September 19 at 11 p.m. until 5 a.m. on Saturday, September 20.

Why:      
Highway light maintenance.

Where:   
Highway 417 eastbound between Richmond Road and Greenbank Road.

Overnight Detours on September 18

Motorists wishing to access eastbound Highway 417 from northbound Greenbank Road will continue north on Pinecrest Road until reaching Richmond Road. They will turn right onto Richmond Road and continue east until reaching Carling Avenue where they will turn right and continue eastbound until reaching Woodroffe Avenue. At Woodroffe Avenue they will turn right and continue southbound until reaching the Highway 417 eastbound on-ramp.

Motorists wishing to access eastbound Highway 417 from southbound Greenbank Road will continue south until reaching Baseline Road. They will turn left on Baseline Road and continue eastbound until reaching Woodroffe Avenue, where they will turn left and continue north on Woodroffe Avenue until reaching the Highway 417 eastbound on-ramp.

Overnight Detours on September 19

Motorists wishing to access eastbound Highway 417 from northbound Richmond Road will continue north on Richmond Road until reaching Pinecrest Road. At Pinecrest Road they will turn right and continue south until reaching the Highway 417 on-ramp.

Motorists wishing to exit eastbound Highway 417 at Greenbank Road will instead exit at either Holly Acres Road or Woodroffe Avenue.

Anticipated Impacts

Motorists should adhere to detours, traffic control signage, posted speed limits, allow for added travel time and use extra caution when moving through active construction corridors as traffic patterns change.

Pedestrians and cyclists should use extra caution and adhere to posted signage when localized detours are in-place, to ensure safety.

The safety of the public and workers is paramount, and we thank you for your patience during construction.
