Improvements coming to Presto payment system
Metrolinx is currently updating the Presto system to improve customer experience.
During the next few weeks, you might notice a one-time delay when you tap your Presto card on a fare reader or fare gate, or at a ticket machine. This is normal! It means that your card has completed the update. The delay will only happen once.
Customer improvements include instant loads, real-time transactions and real-time balances. Overdraft will no longer be available. Make sure you have enough funds on your card to complete your trip. Find out more about the removal of overdraft in Presto's blog: Stay Tapped In.
