Notice of Intersection Reopening: Woodroffe Avenue at Richmond Road and New Orchard Avenue North at Richmond Road

As part of the Stage 2 O-Train Light Rail Transit (LRT) project, work is ongoing along Richmond Road to replace watermain, storm sewer and sanitary sewer infrastructure as well as complete permanent road reconstruction. This is a long-term project as part of the Revitalizing Richmond Road Project.

The intersections Woodroffe Avenue at Richmond Road and New Orchard Avenue North at Richmond Road will be reopening to traffic. Northbound and southbound traffic will be able to move through the Woodroffe Avenue at Richmond Road intersection. Access at Lockhart Avenue North will be closed to vehicular traffic. Traffic from Ambleside Drive and New Orchard Avenue North will be able to access Richmond Road via New Orchard Avenue North.

Anticipated Impacts

• Motorists should adhere to traffic control signage, posted speed limits, allow for added travel time and use extra caution when moving through active construction corridors as traffic patterns change.
• Pedestrians and cyclists should use extra caution and adhere to posted signage when localized detours are in-place, to ensure safety.
