As part of the Stage 2 O-Train Light Rail Transit (LRT) project, motorists travelling on Highway 174 eastbound and Place d’Orléans Drive should anticipate impacts to traffic as crews complete necessary construction activities.

What: 
Full closure of Highway 174 eastbound on-ramp from Place d’Orléans Drive and Highway 174 eastbound off-ramp at Tenth Line Road.

When: 
Thursday, February 26 from 11:00 p.m. until 5:30 a.m. the following day.

Why: 
Guardrail inspection.

Where: 
Highway 174 eastbound on-ramp from Place d’Orléans Drive and Highway 174 eastbound off-ramp at Tenth Line Road.

The construction work outlined in this notice is subject to change. Work may be delayed or extended due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

Motorists travelling eastbound Highway 174 looking to access Tenth Line Road will take the Place d’Orléans off-ramp and travel south on Place d’Orléans Drive to St. Joseph Boulevard. They will turn left and travel east to Tenth Line Road. Motorists in the Place d’Orléans area can access eastbound Highway 174 by using the Highway 174 eastbound on-ramp just east of Tenth Line Road

Detour

Motorists travelling eastbound Highway 174 looking to access Tenth Line Road will take the Place d’Orléans off-ramp and travel south on Place d’Orléans Drive to St. Joseph Boulevard. They will turn left and travel east to Tenth Line Road.

Motorists in the Place d’Orléans area can access eastbound Highway 174 by using the Highway 174 eastbound on-ramp just east of Tenth Line Road.

Note: The St. Joseph Boulevard on-ramp to eastbound Highway 174 will be closed between 9:00 p.m. and midnight on Tuesday, February 17. During this time, motorists will continue east on St. Joseph Boulevard to Trim Road. They will travel north on Trim Road to access eastbound Highway 174 by using the Highway 174 eastbound on-ramp at Trim Road.

 Anticipated Impacts

Motorists should adhere to detours, traffic control signage, posted speed limits, allow for added travel time and use extra caution when moving through active construction corridors as traffic patterns change.

Pedestrians and cyclists should use extra caution and adhere to posted signage when localized detours are in-place, to ensure safety.
