Notice of Road Closure: Eastbound Scott Street - August 2025

As part of the Stage 2 O-Train Light Rail Transit (LRT) project, motorists traveling on Scott Street between Athlone Avenue and Tweedsmuir Avenue should anticipate impacts to traffic as crews complete necessary construction activities.
What
Full closure of eastbound Scott Street between Athlone Avenue and Tweedsmuir Avenue. Westbound traffic will not be impacted by this closure.
When
Saturday, August 23 and Sunday, August 24 between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

Scott Street between Athlone Avenue and Tweedsmuir Avenue.
Detour Routes
Motorists wishing to travel eastbound on Scott Street will proceed south on Churchill Avenue until reaching Richmond Road. They will turn left onto Richmond Road and continue east until reaching Tweedsmuir Avenue, where they will turn left and proceed north until reconnecting with Scott Street.
Pedestrians and cyclists traveling east on Scott Street will cross to the north side of the street at Athlone Avenue and continue east until reaching Tweedsmuir Avenue. They will then cross to the south side of Scott Street and continue east.
Anticipated Impacts
- Motorists should adhere to detours, traffic control signage, posted speed limits, allow for added travel time and use extra caution when moving through active construction corridors as traffic patterns change.
- Pedestrians and cyclists should use extra caution and adhere to posted signage when localized detours are in-place, to ensure safety.
