As part of the Stage 2 O-Train Light Rail Transit (LRT) project, motorists travelling north on Richmond Road at the Highway 417 should anticipate impacts to traffic as crews complete necessary construction activities.

What

Overnight closure of northbound Richmond Road at Highway 417. 

When

Wednesday, August 27 and Thursday, August 28 nightly from 10:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. 

Why

Relocating temporary concrete barriers (TCBs) and line painting.

Detour

Motorists wishing to access Richmond Road north of Highway 417 from south of the Highway will proceed northwest on Holly Acres Road to Carling Avenue. They will then turn right onto Carling Avenue and continue eastbound until reaching Bayshore Drive. They will then turn right onto Bayshore Drive to access Richmond Road.

Anticipated Impacts

Motorists should adhere to detours, traffic control signage, posted speed limits, allow for added travel time and use extra caution when moving through active construction corridors as traffic patterns change.

Pedestrians and cyclists should use extra caution and adhere to posted signage when localized detours are in-place, to ensure safety.

The safety of the public and workers is paramount,
and we thank you for your patience during construction.
