Your support is more important than ever.
The last few years have been challenging for many in our community, and this year is no exception. OC Transpo and Loblaw Companies Limited join forces again for the 41st Annual OC Transpo / Loblaw Holiday Food Drive.
On Saturday, December 13, between 10 am and 5 pm donate in-person to support the initiative. At a participating store, monetary donations or non-perishable food items are accepted. Let’s work together to help those in our community who are struggling to afford enough to eat.
In 2024, 81,000 lbs of food and more than $25,500 in cash donations and food vouchers were collected during the OC Transpo/Loblaw Holiday Food Drive.

We're not here only to collect cans. we're here to drive out hunger.
Saturday, December 13 from 10 am to 5 pm
The OC Transpo / Loblaw Annual Holiday Food Drive is Ottawa’s largest annual, single-day grocery store food drive. It fills a need for many families who are struggling to make ends meet. It helps ensure there is enough to eat during a time of year when demand is at its highest.
We encourage you to donate either through a monetary donation or by donating non-perishable food items at participating stores.
- Monetary donations can be made at the cash at participating stores.
- Consider adding an item to your grocery list that you can then donate to the Ottawa Food Bank. Non-perishable food items can be placed in the Ottawa Food Bank cage bins located at participating stores.
The OC Transpo/Loblaw Annual Holiday Food Drive is staffed by City of Ottawa staff, Ottawa Food Bank volunteers, and community members who give their time to benefit others in the city. We collect for four local food banks:

Donate online
Let's get this food drive moving sooner.
From Monday, December 2, donate right from your home on the Ottawa Food Bank’s donation page. We also encourage you to share the link to the online donation page on your social media accounts for friends and family to see.
Your monetary donations will help provide fresh and nutritious foods like fruit, vegetables, meat, bread, dairy and eggs to those who are accessing food banks in our city.
Since the food drive began in 1984, 3,000,000+ pounds of food and 1000s of dollars for Ottawa’s most vulnerable residents has been raised.
