We’re launching a pilot project to test new Bus Stop Transit Information Screens at four key bus stops in Ottawa. These screens will show real-time bus route information directly at the stop.
These new devices use e-ink display technology, which makes them easy to read in any lighting condition.
The screens are also solar-powered and energy-efficient, providing a low-maintenance, environmentally friendly way to share live transit updates.
This is a pilot project, and your feedback will help shape what comes next.
Where to find the screens
The pilot screens are currently live at:
- Eagleson Park & Ride Stop A (3055)
- Bank/Somerset (1902)
- Civic Hospital - Carling/TOH Civic Campus (8020)
- Bayshore Mall - Woodridge/Bayshore (1222)
These locations were selected to help us test how the screens perform in different environments across the city.
Why we’re testing this
We’re testing these screens to see how well they work in real-world conditions.
This includes:
- How the technology performs through Ottawa’s changing seasons
- Whether they help improve the customer experience
- How readable and reliable they are
