OC Transpo service

OC Transpo buses and O-Train Line 1 will run on a Sunday schedule on Monday, May‑20. Rural Shopper Route 301 will not be running. Use the Travel Planner or Transit, the recommended app for OC Transpo customers, to plan your trip.

OC Transpo On-Demand will be available in Blackburn Hamlet on Sunday, May 19 and Monday, May 20. Customers can book same-day or next-day trips between 9:00 am and 6:30 pm. 

Para Transpo

Para Transpo will operate a holiday service on Victoria Day (Monday, May 20). All regular bookings on Victoria Day will be cancelled automatically. Customers may begin booking trips as of Monday, May 13 with My Para Transpo or by calling 613-560-5000. Para Transpo customers can also text 57272 (5-PARA) to live text with Customer Service Representatives for information and cancellations.

The OC Transpo Customer Service Centre in the Rideau Centre will be open.

OC Transpo Customer Service 613-560-5000 will be open from 7 am to 9 pm. We recommend that customers call to book an appointment or use the Virtual Line. All other CSCs remain closed at this time.

There are several free activities and festivals happening on the Victoria Day long weekend and transit is the best way to get to them! Check out some of what's happening and then use Transit app or Travel Planner to plan your trip.

Canadian Tulip Festival

Until Monday, May 20

Take a look at the many Canadian Tulip Festival activities that you and your family can enjoy.

Commissioner's Park, Dow's Lake

  • See Children's matinees such as The Secret Life of Pets, My Neighbour Totoro, and Despicable Me, each afternoon at 2pm. There are also family-friendly shows like Jurrasic Park and R.E.D. each evening at 7pm.
  • Enjoy a self-guided Tour that conveniently uses QR codes at the SPAO Photowalk
  • Shop the Tulip Market each day from 10 am and 8pm. All proceeds from sales at the Tulip Boutique go to support the Canadian Tulip Legacy.
  • Lunch n' Learn everyday at noon: Have a lunch picnic on the grass and learn about why we have a Tulip festival.
  • Complete with lights, sound, fog, and aerial effects, the Operation Manna Sound and light show happens every night at 9 pm and it tells the story of how the Royal canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), pilots, and crews fought bravely in World War II.
  • Experience the tulips the way the bees and butterflies do at the Blacklight Boardwalk, each night from 8 pm to 10 pm.
  • Saturday, May 18, at 11am: Dress up your dog and join the Palapa Pup Parade! Your best-dressed pup could win you two tickets for a Palapa Tour. Also, everyday, you and your pup can get a refreshing drink of water at the Palapa to Go water station. And to make things better, your small pet or service animal is welcome aboard all OC Transpo buses and trains!
  • Sunday, May 19: Witness the Closing ceremony at 8 pm or watch the Drone show over Dow's Lake at 9:30 pm.

NCC Weekends Bikedays

Saturdays, Sundays, and Victoria Day Monday

NCC Weekend Bikedays is a great opportunity for you to get outdoors and walk, run, bike, or skate along Kichi Zībī Mīkan or Sir George-Étienne Cartier Parkway. And to make it better, your bike is welcome aboard the O-Train and all OC Transpo buses:

  • Take the O-Train Line 1 to Pimisi Station to bike 9 km west.
  • Take the O-Train Line 1 to Blair Station and then Route 25 to the Canada Aviation and Space Museum to bike 8 km east.
