April 7 - Highway 174 Westbound between Trim Road and Tenth Line Road - Overnight Full Closure
As part of the Stage 2 O-Train Light Rail Transit (LRT) project, motorists travelling westbound on Highway 174 between Trim Road and Tenth Line Road should anticipate impacts to traffic as crews complete necessary construction activities.
What:
Full closure of Highway 174 westbound between Trim Road and Tenth Line Road.
When:
Sunday, April 7 at 8:00 p.m. to Monday, April 8 at 6:00 a.m.
Why:
Temporary concrete barrier (TCB) moves and line painting.
Where:
Highway 174 westbound between Trim Road and Tenth Line Road.
The construction work outlined in this notice is subject to change. Work may be delayed or extended due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
Detours
Motorists travelling westbound on Highway 174 east of Trim Road and motorists travelling southbound or northbound on Trim Road have two detour options. They can travel westbound either north of Highway 174 along Jeanne d’Arc Boulevard or south of Highway 174 on St. Joseph Boulevard to reconnect to Highway 174 westbound at Tenth Line Road.
Anticipated Impacts
Motorists should adhere to detours, traffic control signage, posted speed limits, allow for added travel time and use extra caution when moving through active construction corridors as traffic patterns change.
