As part of the Stage 2 O-Train Light Rail Transit (LRT) project, motorists travelling Highway 174 westbound should anticipate mobility impacts.

What:
Highway 174 westbound will be closed between Trim Road and Champlain Street while crews work on the Highway. The following ramps will also be closed:

  • Highway 174 westbound on-ramp from southbound Trim Road (north of Highway 174)
  • Highway 174 westbound off-ramp to Tenth Line Road.
  • Highway 174 westbound on-ramp from northbound Tenth Line Road.
  • Highway 174 westbound on-ramp from southbound Tenth Line Road.
  • Highway 174 westbound on-ramp from northbound Champlain Street.
  • Highway 174 westbound off-ramp to Champlain Street.

When: 
Saturday, September 13 and Sunday, September 14
between 6:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. daily.

Why:   
Final paving.

Where:
Highway 174 westbound from Trim Road to Champlain Street.

The construction work outlined in this notice is subject to change. Work may be delayed or extended due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

Detour
Motorists travelling westbound on Highway 174 will exit at Trim Road, turn left to travel south on Trim Road towards St. Joseph Boulevard. They will then turn right to travel west on St. Joseph Boulevard, turn right onto Jeanne d’Arc Boulevard and then re-enter Highway 174 using the westbound Jeanne d’Arc Boulevard on-ramp.

Motorists north and south of Highway 174 at Trim Road and Tenth Line Road and south of Highway 174 at Place d’Orléans will follow St. Joseph Boulevard west to Jeanne d’Arc Boulevard to enter Highway 174 using the westbound Jeanne d’Arc Boulevard on-ramp.

Anticipated Impacts
Motorists should adhere to detours, traffic control signage, posted speed limits, allow for added travel time and use extra caution when moving through active construction corridors as traffic patterns change.
