June 7-10 - Highway 174 Westbound between Trim Road and Champlain Street - Weekend Full Closure

As part of the Stage 2 O-Train Light Rail Transit (LRT) project, motorists travelling Highway 174 westbound from Trim Road to Champlain Street should anticipate impacts to traffic as crews complete necessary construction activities.

What:          
A full closure will be in place on westbound Highway 174 between Trim Road and Champlain Street. The Tenth Line Road northbound and southbound on-ramps to westbound Highway 174 will also be closed.

When:         
Friday, June 7 at 7 p.m. until Monday, June 10 at 5:30 a.m.

Why:           
Excavation, planting bed preparation, drainage work, electrical manhole work, and flatworks preparation.

Where:        
Highway 174 westbound between Trim Road and Champlain Street.

The construction work outlined in this notice is subject to change. Work may be delayed or extended due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

Detour
Motorists travelling westbound on Highway 174 will need to exit at Trim Road and drive south to St. Joseph Boulevard. They will then use the roundabout to turn right onto St. Joseph Boulevard, and travel west to Place d’Orléans Drive. They will turn right onto Place d’Orléans Drive and reconnect to Highway 174 westbound at Champlain Street.

Motorists travelling on Tenth Line Road will need to drive south to St. Joseph Boulevard, turn right onto St. Joseph Boulevard and travel west to Place d’Orléans Drive to connect to Highway 174 westbound at Champlain Street.

Anticipated Impacts
Motorists should adhere to detours, traffic control signage, posted speed limits, allow for added travel time and use extra caution when moving through active construction corridors as traffic patterns change.
