Driving you crazy with transit-accessible activities

While March Break happens on weekdays, the fun really begins earlier and goes longer. We have created a list of activities between Saturday, March 14 and Sunday, March 22 that you and your family can go to. Some are free and some have a low cost. But with OC Transpo's affordable fares, we can get you to all of them!

Even though we're anxiously awaiting the warm spring weather, spending some time outside can be fun, no matter the weather. Winter weather in March is unpredictable though - it could be warm, cold, wet, snowy, windy, or icy. Before you head out to any of these activities, make sure to:

  • Check the weather forecast.
  • Visit the websites for updates on closures.
  • Check our Alerts page for updates on closures, cancellations, and detours.
  • Dress appropriately.

There is sure to be an activity that both matches your interests and the weather. Get outdoors and out of this world this March Break!

Fares to help you fare well

Maybe nana and papa want to take the grandkids out.
Well, on Wednesdays and Sundays, seniors 65 years and up ride free! Pair that with the fact that kids 10 years and under can ride for free everyday, and you have completely costless travel!

Mom and dad planned a full day of activities with the kiddos?
On the Saturdays and Sundays before and after March Break (March 14-15 and March 21-22), two people aged 13 years and up can ride together on one fare all day with the 2-for-1 DayPass! If travelling on a weekday, the DayPass is your best option (per person).

Maybe a cousin is tagging along too.
No problem! If they are 11 or 12 years old, they can ride with the new reduced Pre-Teen fare.

Planning on many full days of activities during the week?
In that case, a multi-day DayPass might be for you! Choose from three days, five days, or seven days. These fares are only for one person, but combine it with the other above fare options and travelling with transit is a breeze.
