As part of the Stage 2 O-Train Light Rail Transit (LRT) project, motorists travelling on Highway 174 westbound at the Champlain Street interchange as well as motorists south of the Champlain Street/Place d’Orléans interchange should anticipate impacts to traffic as crews complete necessary construction activities.

What:     
Highway 174 westbound at Champlain Street will be fully closed. The northbound Champlain Street/Place d’Orléans Drive to Highway 174 westbound on-ramp will also be closed.

When:    
Sunday, November 16 between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

Why:     
Formwork removal.

Where:   
Highway 174 westbound at Champlain Street.

The construction work outlined in this notice is subject to change.
Work may be delayed or extended due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

Detour

Motorists will perform a simple ramp surf at Champlain Street. They will exit the Highway using the westbound off-ramp and rejoin Highway 174 using the westbound on-ramp at Champlain Street.

Motorists south of the Highway at Place d’Orléans Drive looking to travel westbound on Highway 174 will cross the Highway and travel north to Jeanne d’Arc Boulevard. They will turn left and travel west to access westbound Highway 174 using the Jeanne d’Arc Boulevard on-ramp.

Anticipated Impacts

Motorists should adhere to detours, traffic control signage, posted speed limits, allow for added travel time and use extra caution when moving through active construction corridors as traffic patterns change.

Pedestrians and cyclists should use extra caution and adhere to posted signage when localized detours are in-place, to ensure safety.
