Notice of Overnight Work and Ramp Closure: Highway 417 at Moodie Drive - Dec. 15 & 16
As part of the Stage 2 O-Train Light Rail Transit (LRT) project, motorists wishing to access Highway 417 from northbound Moodie Drive should anticipate impacts to traffic as crews complete necessary construction activities.
What:
Overnight Highway 417 ramp closure and lane reduction at Moodie Drive.
When:
The Highway 417 westbound on-ramp from northbound Moodie Drive and the northbound Moodie Drive slow lane will be closed on Monday, December 15 and Tuesday, December 16 from 11 p.m. until 5 a.m.
Why:
Temporary concrete barrier (TCB) removal and line eradication and painting.
Where:
Highway 417 at Moodie Drive.

Detours
Motorists wishing to access westbound Highway 417 from northbound Moodie Drive will continue north on Moodie Drive until reaching Carling Avenue. They will then turn left onto Carling Avenue and continue west until reaching Herzberg Road. They will turn left onto Herzberg Road and continue south until reaching March Road where they will turn left and continue south until reaching the westbound Highway 417 on-ramp.
Anticipated Impacts
- Motorists should adhere to detours, traffic control signage, posted speed limits, allow for added travel time and use extra caution when moving through active construction corridors as traffic patterns change.
- Pedestrians and cyclists should use extra caution and adhere to posted signage when localized detours are in-place, to ensure safety.
The safety of the public and workers is paramount,
