As part of the Stage 2 O-Train Light Rail Transit (LRT) project, motorists travelling on Holly Acres Road and Richmond Road near Highway 417/416 should anticipate impacts to traffic as crews complete necessary construction activities.

What: 
Overnight Closure of Holly Acres Road northbound at Highway 417/416 and Holly Acres Road on-ramp to westbound Highway 417. The following lane reductions will also be in place:

  • Southbound Holly Acres Road north of Highway 417/416.
  • A lane on the Highway 416 off-ramp to Holly Acres Road.
  • Southbound right-turn lane and northbound left-turn lane Richmond Road at Holly Acres Road.

When: 
Wednesday, April 15 at 11:00 p.m. until Thursday, April 16 at 5:00 a.m.

Why: 
Line eradication and painting.

Where: 
Holly Acres Road at Highway 417/416.

Detour

Motorists travelling southbound on Richmond Road wishing to access Holly Acres Road north of Highway 417 will proceed south to Baseline Road. They will then turn left onto Baseline Road and travel east to Greenbank Road. They will turn left and travel north to connect to Carling Avenue and then westbound to connect with Holly Acres Road.

Motorists travelling eastbound on Highway 417 looking to access Holly Acres Road north of Highway 417 will take the Holly Acres Road off-ramp and turn right onto Holly Acres Road. They will turn left onto Richmond Road and travel northeast to Bayshore Drive. They will turn left and travel north to connect with Carling Avenue and then westbound to connect with Holly Acres Road.

Anticipated Impacts

Motorists should adhere to detours, traffic control signage, posted speed limits, allow for added travel time and use extra caution when moving through active construction corridors as traffic patterns change.

Pedestrians and cyclists should use extra caution and adhere to posted signage when localized detours are in-place, to ensure safety.

The safety of the public and workers is paramount, and we thank you for your patience during construction.
