Notice of Road Closure - Corkstown Road at Moodie

As part of the Stage 2 O-Train Light Rail Transit (LRT) project, motorists wishing to to access Corkstown Road east and west of Moodie Drive should anticipate impacts to traffic as crews complete necessary construction activities.
What
Closure of a short stretch of Corkstown Road East and West at Moodie Drive.
When
Friday, September 5, Saturday, September 6 and Sunday, September 7 nightly between 11:00 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. the following day.
Why
Temporary Concrete Barrier (TCB) installation and line painting.
Where
Corkstown Road East and West at Moodie Drive. Detour signage will be in place to direct motorists.
Detour
Motorists north of Highway 417 and east of Moodie Drive looking to access Corkstown Road West will travel on Carling Avenue westbound until reaching Herzberg Road, where they will turn left and proceed southbound until reading March Road. They will then turn left onto March Road and continue south until reaching the Corkstown Road intersection. Motorists will then turn left onto Corkstown Road and proceed eastbound until they reach their destination.
Motorists north of Highway 417 and west of Moodie Drive looking to access Corkstown Road East will travel north on March Road until reaching Herzberg Road, where they will turn right and proceed northbound to Carling Avenue. They will travel east on Carling Avenue to the Corkstown Road East intersection. Motorists will turn right onto Corkstown Road and proceed westbound until they reach their destination.
Motorists south of Highway 417 on Moodie Drive looking to access Corkstown Road East will travel north on Moodie Drive to Carling Avenue. They will turn right and travel east on Carling Avenue to the Corkstown Road intersection. Motorists will turn right onto Corkstown Road and proceed westbound until they reach their destination.
Motorists south of Highway 417 on Moodie Drive looking to access Corkstown Road West will travel west on Timm Drive to Eagleson Road. They will turn right and travel north on Eagleson Road and then March Road to reach the Corkstown Road West intersection. Motorists will turn right onto Corkstown Road and proceed eastbound until they reach their destination.
Anticipated Impacts
- Motorists should adhere to detours, traffic control signage, posted speed limits, allow for added travel time and use extra caution when moving through active construction corridors as traffic patterns change.
- Pedestrians and cyclists should use extra caution and adhere to posted signage when localized detours are in-place, to ensure safety.
