Notice of Road Closure: New Orchard Avenue at Richmond Road
As part of the Stage 2 O-Train Light Rail Transit (LRT) project, construction requires the closure of New Orchard Avenue between Ambleside Drive and Richmond Road.
What:
Full closure of New Orchard Avenue between Ambleside Drive and Richmond Road.
When:
Monday, March 30 from 2:00 a.m. until 5:00 a.m.
Why:
Line painting refresh.
Where:
New Orchard Avenue between Ambleside Drive and Richmond Road.
Detour
Motorists travelling on Richmond Road looking to access New Orchard Avenue will use McEwen Avenue and Ambleside Drive to access New Orchard Avenue. Residents north of
Richmond Road in the New Orchard Avenue area will use Ambleside Drive and McEwen Avenue
to exit the neighbourhood.
Anticipated Impacts
Motorists should adhere to detours, traffic control signage, posted speed limits, allow for added travel time and use extra caution when moving through active construction corridors as traffic patterns change.
Pedestrians and cyclists should use extra caution and adhere to posted signage when localized detours are in-place, to ensure safety.
The safety of the public and workers is paramount, and we thank you for your patience during construction.
